Snowshoe & pulka winter trekking

Program

Day 1: We meet at the busstation in Trysil for a short drive to the guestfarm, first night in a cabin at the guest farm, briefing and packing.
Day 2: Another briefing meeting, checklists, finish packing and departure for our expedition on our snowhoes with each a pulka containing your own gear and some group gear. We have all our food and gear with us so we can stop and camp where we want or have to.
First camp set-up and campfire dinner.
Day 3-4-5-6: After a wilderness breakfast, packing up the gear and start of our 2nd expedition day. Same rituals every day. We might hike to a top one day and leave our camp and gear in the valley. We could meet mosse, reindeer and find the tracks of several wild animals and birds.
We will hike through desolated landscapes as frozen rivers and lakes, high plains, hills, fairytale birch and pine forests
Day 7: After our last day in the winter wilderness we end our trip at the guest farm or another place where we can be picked up. Dinner at the guestfarm, last night in a cabin.
Day 8: Breakfast at the guestfarm and transfer to the busstation.

Price and included

Price: 13450 Nok pp (= +/- 1345€) for 4 participants, decreasing with more .

​Included: Meals from breakfast day 2 to breakfast day 8, 2 overnight stays in confy cabin at the guestfarm incl sheets and cleaning, 5 wilderness camping nights in our tipi or widerness cabin, use of snowshoes, pulka's, wintersleepingbag (on request), reindeerskinn, all cooking and eating equipment, 2 experienced guides.

Not included: meals day 1, lunch and dinner day 8, drinks during dinner, sauna or hot tub on evening day 7, personal insurance. Flight to Oslo and transfer to Trysil busstation. Winter trekkingshoes and winter trekking clothing.

Conditions

In this part of Norway far east, it can be from -25 to 5°C in this period. We will adapt our trip to the conditions. To take part in this trip you need to be in a good physical shape, have some resistance to cold and challenging situations and have confirmed camping experienced. Minimum age 16.
