Travel conditions applicable when booking a trip through Norway Outdoors Van Hauwaert enk
- Booking and payment of package or activity
- The booking is made by sending back the signed order form to Norway Outdoors Van Hauwaert enk and by paying the requested advance payment.
- The balance or total amount is due 45 days prior to package or activity with Norway Outdoors Van Hauwaert enk.
- Norway Outdoors Van Hauwaert enk offers activities, accommodation and transfers in Norway, but does not take care of international transportation. We are however happy to provide advice on these matters.
- Price
- Never included in the price are: costs of international transportation, passport, visa, vaccinations, travel/ casualty/ cancellation insurance, personal expenses, tips and excursions that are not expressly indicated as included.
- Insurance
- Norway Outdoors Van Hauwaert enk has the necessary liability insurances. However, we recommend each participant to take their own; casualty inurance, travel insurance and cancellation insurance.
- Formalities
- The traveler is solely responsible for vaccinations. Given Norway Outdoors Van Hauwaert enk has no medical authority, the traveler must provide the requested information from a competent physician.
- The traveler must inform Norway Outdoors Van Hauwaert enk. of any physical or psychological frailties, allergies and medication and in doubt, consult a physician
- Duration and programs.
- The traveler must read the detailed program and details as specified in the information that will be delivered before departure.
- The mentioned timetables are indicative. The traveler must take into account that this can vary before and during the trip/activity due to weather/ participants/ organisation issues.
- Nature of the trip.
- The traveler explicitly accepts the adventurous nature of the activities or trip, as associated with the possible lack of comfort and program changes as a result of local conditions in the visited country..
- Given the nature of certain trips, the traveler must be aware of certain risks and / or poor or almost non-existent medical care, infrastructure and communication. The traveler can in no way claim Norway Outdoors Van Hauwaert enk. or local actors to be responsible and cancel the trip for these reasons.
- You will receive a packlist for every trip or activity booked. This lists are based on our experience. Weather and conditions can change quickly and outdoors asks another behaviour than home so please follow the list while packing and mail us if you have questions.
- Cancellation and changes by the traveler
- Each cancellation or modification should be requested by email at Norway Outdoors Van Hauwaert enk.
- If the trip should be canceled by the traveler, even if the cancellation is due to circumstances of force majeure following fees are due in any case:
- Cancellation fees: vary according to the time of cancellation :
- up to 60 days prior to departure: 15% of the fare;
- from 60 to 30 days: 30% of the fare;
- from 30 to 14 days before departure: 75% of the fare;
- less than 14 days before departure or none: 100% of the fare.
- This penalty also applies in case Norway Outdoors Van Hauwaert enk should be forced to terminate the contract due to late payment .
- Changes to a booked trip twill be accepted upon payment of the proposed price adjustments.
- Norway Outdoors Van Hauwaert enk recommends choosing an insurance company of your choice for cancellation insurance.
- Minimum number of participants
- The trip can only be carried out and be sold at the announced price if the minimum number of participants has been reached.
- Norway Outdoors Van Hauwaert enk can only confirm the trip as soon as the minimum number of participants is reached or 40 days before departure.
- In consultation with the participants that have booked, this deadline can be reduced .

- The participants that have already booked can choose to participate or not to participate and will be reimbursed in this case.
- Liability

- The civil liability of Norway Outdoors Van Hauwaert enk is covered by its professional insurance.
- Norway Outdoors Van Hauwaert enk is not liable for unforeseen events, such as new regulations or accidents, epidemics, war, etc.
- Norway Outdoors Van Hauwaert enk is not liable for costs arising from delays in transportation due to bad weather or breakdowns, strikes, war, changes of schedule or transportation etc. The related costs and damages shall be borne by the traveler.
- The information on the website www.norwayoutdoors.no is provided according to data known to us. If changes occur in operation, facilities and services of the products, they will be communicated on the website as soon as Norway Outdoors Van Hauwaert enk is informed.
- The delivery of Norway Outdoors Van Hauwaert enk shall begin and end at the meeting point specified in the order and programs.
- Payment of the price
- Unless expressly agreed otherwise, the traveler pays a part of the global or total amount when signing the order or in advance, as specified in the terms and conditions.
- If the traveler, upon demand, fails to pay the advance or the total amount as expected from him, Norway Outdoors Van Hauwaert enk has the legal right to terminate the contract, all costs being borne by the traveler.
- Unless otherwise agreed in the order, the traveler pays the balance of the price 45 days before start date, at the condition that he is provided with the written confirmation and / or travel documentation at that moment or before.
- Transferability of a booking
- The passenger may, before the start of the tour, transfer his tour to a third party, which must comply with all terms of the contract.The traveler who transfers his trip to another person should inform Norway Outdoors timely before start.
- The transferor and the transferee are jointly and severally held to the payment of the total price of the trip and the cost of the transfer.
- Other changes made by the traveler:
- If the traveler wishes to make another change, Norway Outdoors will charge all expenses caused thereby.
- Changes made by Norway Outdoors prior to departure
- In case one of the essential points of the contract can not be carried out, Norway Outdoors must notify the traveler as soon as possible and in any case before the start of the trip. The traveler may then end the contract at no cost, unless he accepts the modifications of the contract proposed by the tour operator.
- The traveler must inform Norway Outdoors of his decision as soon as possible and in any event before the start of the trip.
- Termination of the contract by Norway Outdoors prior to departure
- If Norway Outdoors breaks the contract before the start of the trip due to reasons which are not attributable to the traveler, the traveler can choose between following options:
- Accept a new offer for a trip of equal or better quality, at no extra cost. Should the proposed trip be of lower quality, the tour operator must refund the price difference as soon as possible.
- Accept the refund – as soon as possible - of all sums payed by him in the frame of the contract.
- The traveler may also, where appropriate, claim a compensation for not carrying out the contract, except under following circumstances:
- the tour operator cancels the trip because the minimum number of travelers, provided before in the contract and prescribed was not achieved for the organization of the trip, and the traveler was informed within the period as prescribed in these terms & conditions.
- the cancellation is due to force majeure, which does not include overbooking. Force majeure are unusual and unforeseeable circumstances beyond the control of the person who organizes and and whose effects, despite all precautions, could not be avoided.
- If during the journey a significant proportion of the services covered by the contract can not be carried out, the tour operator shall take all necessary measures to offer appropriate and cost-free alternatives with a view to continuing the trip.
- If Norway Outdoors breaks the contract before the start of the trip due to reasons which are not attributable to the traveler, the traveler can choose between following options:
